We also believe in giving back to our immediate community to support nonprofits local to the Annapolis area. We prioritize helping others in every aspect of business, which is why we choose to partner with charities that are near and dear to us.
Hunger doesn't take a holiday — and neither does our team. South River Mortgage organizes an employee-led canned food drive to benefit the Anne Arundel County Food Bank, a vital resource for families and individuals facing food insecurity right here in our backyard.
Our team rallies together each year to collect non-perishable food items and make meaningful donations, ensuring that our neighbors in need have access to nutritious meals. It's a small act that makes a big difference in the lives of those we serve alongside every day.


Three years. Three charity championships. The Bub's Give Back Golf Tournament has become one of our most beloved annual traditions — a day on the greens that translates directly into support for local charities.
Each year, participants tee off knowing their entry goes beyond the fairway. Proceeds from the tournament are donated to charitable organizations serving our community. What started as a single event has grown into a signature South River Mortgage tradition, raising more money and awareness with every round.

The holidays are a time for giving, and at South River Mortgage, we take that to heart. Through the Angel Tree initiative, our team sponsors a child during the holiday season — collecting gifts, clothing, and toys to ensure they wake up on Christmas morning with a smile.
Participating in Angel Tree is one of the most meaningful things we do as a team. It's a reminder of why community matters, and a chance to make the holiday season brighter for a child who might otherwise go without. Our employees come together to shop, wrap, and donate — turning the spirit of the season into something tangible and real.


As a company built around serving the senior community, the Alzheimer's Association holds a special place in our hearts. Alzheimer's disease affects millions of seniors and their families — many of whom are the same people we work so hard to support every day.
South River Mortgage is proud to lend our support to the Alzheimer's Association's mission: to eliminate Alzheimer's and all other dementia through the advancement of research, to drive risk reduction and early detection, and to maximize quality care and support for those living with the disease. Our support reflects our deep commitment to the senior community we serve.
In 2023, members of the South River Mortgage team hit the streets — literally — to give back to the environment. Partnering with the Regrowth Project (RGP), we rolled up our sleeves and cleaned up 20 bags of trash along Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Community stewardship isn't just about financial giving — it's also about showing up and doing the work. The Regrowth Project embodies that belief, and we're proud to have played a part in keeping our communities clean and livable. It was a small team, a big impact, and a reminder that every bag of trash removed is a step toward a healthier, more beautiful community for everyone.
